Well, free oscillations of the Earth have toroidal, as well as spheroidal, modes. I'm not sure I see that in the water bubble, but it's a little hard to tell in the video. In any case, the solid Earth is elastic (at the relevant time scale), unlike water, so I would think that the wave behavior would be different.
